3 pointsHI guys, finally got one of the rj58's going that I got this summer. I plan to keep this one all original. The motor has been completely rebuilt and it runs great. if you wonder why the hood does not sit right the hoodstand somehow got bent. We'll have to try and bend it back sometime. Its pretty much done besides that and it needs a kill switch hooked up, and I need to find a set of matching wheels. Here are a couple pics and a very short video. ~Jake click this link for the video. http://s1229.photobu...nt=DSCN0520.mp4

1 pointI wanted to add some weight to the wheels on my D160 for traction the winter, will be adding chains also, so I took some measurements and cut some pieces of steel and started fabricating. This is what I came up with. Will hold up to 65# on each side and only sticks out as for as the snow blower is wide. Just something I threw together tonight. Seems to work. Hopefully I wont be snagging anything?

1 pointAfter a lot of searching I have finally found and bought my very first Wheel Horse. I really wanted one this shape and style, but they are hard to come by over in Ireland, so when I saw this one I jumped on it. I know it needs a lot of work, but I wanted a project. The only problem is, I don't really know which one it is, and I need to be sure I am getting the right parts if I need any parts. So any help, tips, advice or suggestions relating to my new WH would be greatly appreciated. Couple more photos to try and help! Last one! Thanks for any help you can provide!

1 pointI blow leaves to my lawns perimeter, then mulch them back next door...where they came from in the first place. Just less noticable that way.

1 pointI don't have cable or a dish. I used to get about 20 channels from my antenna with a booster. Now that everyone went digital, we can't get crap. Bought a new digital TV, then a new digital antenna....get about 4-5 stations now, but weather screws it up as if I had a dish....Watch a lot of DVD's...watching THE SHEILD right now. Like SONS OF ANARCHY, JUSTIFIED, BOARDWALK....Just got to thinking...all these have blood, sex, drugs and cussing!

1 pointAmerican Pickers is my favorite but if I want to laugh its the Big Bang Theory. The only reality type show I watch is Survivor, watched every episode since it started. Mike......

1 pointYour '71 Raider should take a #100200 Blade Kit (used on all 42" SD decks from '66 to '76), I don't know the actual blade length. The gap should be only about 1/8", I don't have a blade here to measure, but guess they are about 141/4" long, each; BUT, they are correctly measured on a diagonal (outside rear back corners & through the center hole) (the cutting edge wears down and is not consistent, back edge is always 'new', and measure the diagonal). It is certainly possible that someone put on the wrong blades. If you have to get new blades, consider 'Gator Blades', you can google up the correct sizes, http://www.gatorblade.com/. Be sure to compare the prices at your local Auto Parts store. The baffles helped in chopping up the grass finer and directed out-flow better (also called recycler), are not required. Good Luck, Glen

1 pointSteve: You have made another all time best Red Square tutorials! I always wanted to see how that unidrive gear box worked inside also! Great job and glad you took the time to provide this for the rest of us!
-
1 pointgreat video steve.... that style of trans makes it ideal for a video such as this. i did spin my rebuilt 1057 trans (not sure of the #) in half of the housing through all the gears, but its hard to keep everything right. spacing the side plates with bolts and nuts/ threaded rod or whatever in that earlier trans to test is a great idea.
