4 pointsWith all the fabulous lookin' machines on here am nearly embarrased to show my 36 yr old, has had a hard life out in the rain, and whatever else weather brought for last 30 years, sat idle unused or moved for 14 yrs, brought out of coma, given new shoes, a pacemaker, replaced some circular joints, fixed feeding tube, and we are off RECYCLIN' again. Wagon from scrap chain, washing machine cover, high boy lawn mower wheels, Ariens mower deck carriage, rlrctrical hanger, 2x4, plywood, and scrap hardware (also suffered with Horse). Grand kids grew to big 'fore got to ride on back in the few snows here, as intended. When first turned it over in '82 and decided against the Cub had to have it. My original receipt lists it as '78, but it's a ,76 that musta had 6 years of hard life before the cruelty from me. This place makes me have a whole new respect for these machines. 1 pointHi guys, decided I am going to do a partial resto on my 57 rj35. It is just going to be blasted and primed and I will worry about filling in all the pits and painting it another day. It has all been blasted and the frame has been primed. One of my dad's buddys is going to go through the rear end for us and see if it needs anything. We do not have a motor for it yet, But I know where I can get one. No gas tank either and I'll have to see if I can get my dad to let one of his hoods go. If anyone has a gas tank or a spring that tensions the belts, or a throttle cable they want to let go of please send me a message. Here are some pics of the frame that is primed. The last pic will show you its in pretty bad shape. but that is the worst spot. I'll get some pics of the rest of the parts tomorrow. ~Jake

1 pointPicked this up in PA today! This was well cared for over the years. Rear doesn't leak and is full, motor doesn't smoke and runs great. It came with chains, a 42 inch plow and the mower deck. I took the plow off put the deck on and mowed today! IT amazes me what this 6hp will do. By the way what model deck is this? Another pic

1 pointLike the rest of you guys, most of my toys, projects, and restorations are way to big to be brought into the house, and unfortunately for me, my shop is a couple miles away from my house. All I have at my house is a carport, so although I may bring some of my toys home occasionally, I don't keep them here very long because they're not well protected. I recentley started restoring antique Briggs engines, and have really enjoyed doing it. Then it hit me, these are small enough to bring in the house, so I imediately informed my wife I was going to put my engines on display in the house. Her initial reaction was followed by , but once she calmed down, she finally agreed that I had at least some say in how the house was decorated, even if it was a very small say. So here is the vue right next to the computer desk, as she would not let me put them in the living room! So my question is, what kind of toys do you have in your house? By the way, my wife says they are stinking up the house, even though I did drain all the gas out of them. I personally like the smell, smells like my shop! Matt

1 pointi just picked this up. pretty good shape. it has some electrical issues that i need to work out but i think it'll be ok. it even has the deck with it but i think the spindle bearings are going bad. if anybody has any input on these please speak up.

1 pointNow for todays work. I soaked the block over night in my chem dip, and then bead blasted any surface rust off. I gave the cylinder a quick 5 second hone, as there was no wear. I installed new rings, lapped the valves, new gaskets, and painted it. Some of my engines, I just give a rattle can paint job, but I decided to use the gun on this one, like I did my 44 N. I also blasted, and painted all the other parts, with the exception of the blower housing which is going to take a little longer, as its going to need some body work. I'm also goint to have to get a gas tank, but I think I may already have that covered. Anyway, hear are todays pics. Matt :flags-texas:

1 pointYES, if you have original rims on it they should be 15". Problem is, they are expensive to replace with regulat tractor tires. By the look of yours you dont need to worry about replacing them and if the start loosing air just put tubes in them.

1 pointyes they do that ,the place by me rebuilds clutches for every thing that takes a clutch so i would check at your local farm tractor or big truck dealer and see if they recommend anyone in your area. i have another clutch around here but its starting to throw one of the surfaces off

1 pointThanks Guys Me wanting snow for X-Mas????? Well I hope I aint gotta wait that long! This Next Section is Called........ Slip Into My CockPit! So I got busy and started to install "THE STUFF" as we will call it, But the problem is My stuff had no place to mount to so I made a dash to mount all my stuff on. This dash is made of aluminum with a alumnum angle for support and to mount the dash to the cab frame work. I used a black leather looking material I purchased from Joanns Fabrics. I then cut the dash down to my liking laid out the gauges and drilled mounting holes. I then applied spray adhesive and went to work on laying down the black leather material. 1 pointI was looking at the demystification schematics for a 1991-1997 520H and it doesn't look right to me. The wiring diagram is shown on page 7-98 and the starter motor circuit is shown on 7-99. The starter motor circuit shows an orange wire going from the I on the switch to the seat switch. The wiring diagram shows an orange wire coming from the I on the switch going to the kill relay and then on to the coil if the kill relay is energized. I understand the starter motor circuit but the wiring diagram itself has me confused. Is the wiring diagram correct? If it is correct, how does anything get power in "run" when the only power coming out of the switch goes to the kill relay and then goes nowhere because the kill relay can't be energized? I am a pipefitter by trade not an electritian so please be gentle on me. Thanks.

1 pointCongragulations Craig!!! I am very happy for you. The K-341 engine is a torque monster for its size. I have one freshly rebuilt in a IH Cub Cadet 1650. I like it so much, that I'm beginning to look for a K-341 powered Wheel Horse such as the one you are showing us here. I hope the weather is good for you to get lots of seat time on it this weekend.

1 pointI love music, probably more than i love spending time in the barn wrenching. This is only a small number of the guitars and audio gear i have. I love vintage anything (not to mention as we all know on this forum, things aren't made like they used to be) so i collect/repair vintage audio gear from the 50s, 60s and 70s. I am also a believer in the superiority of analog audio, vinyl being the best. most new music i buy on vinyl and have a collection of albums totally somewhere between 200 and 300 LPs. the last picture is of my basement shop and the pieces that are on deck for repair or use

1 pointI used to have windshield fluid in both tires but one started leaking. Ended up removing both tires and installing tubes to hold air. Now I can't add fluid cause if I let the air out the valve stem dissappears into the wheel. Then the only way to get to it is break the bead and start all over. I liked the weight but it rusted the wheels something terrible. I'm lucky I was able to save them. Now I think wheel weights would be my best course. But thanks anyway. Oh, and here's a pic or two of my D.

1 pointI guess my driveway is too uneven. I have tried setting the blade just above the ground but with dips and bumps the blade is either digging in or 2 inches above the driveway. I also plow some grassy areas and I find the skids very useful. I also made a set using the same pipe cap, carriage bolt operation but mounting them to a piece of angle iron bolted to the keyhole shaped holes that are on the bottom brace of some WH Blades (no welding required)

1 pointThe van wasn't my first choice. I was going to rent a Uhaul trailer but it was impossible due to the students going to college. I actually stuffed the 312H in the van the night before just to make sure it would work. Here are a couple more pics-
