I love music, probably more than i love spending time in the barn wrenching. This is only a small number of the guitars and audio gear i have. I love vintage anything (not to mention as we all know on this forum, things aren't made like they used to be) so i collect/repair vintage audio gear from the 50s, 60s and 70s. I am also a believer in the superiority of analog audio, vinyl being the best. most new music i buy on vinyl and have a collection of albums totally somewhere between 200 and 300 LPs. the last picture is of my basement shop and the pieces that are on deck for repair or use

Like the rest of you guys, most of my toys, projects, and restorations are way to big to be brought into the house, and unfortunately for me, my shop is a couple miles away from my house. All I have at my house is a carport, so although I may bring some of my toys home occasionally, I don't keep them here very long because they're not well protected. I recentley started restoring antique Briggs engines, and have really enjoyed doing it. Then it hit me, these are small enough to bring in the house, so I imediately informed my wife I was going to put my engines on display in the house. Her initial reaction was followed by , but once she calmed down, she finally agreed that I had at least some say in how the house was decorated, even if it was a very small say. So here is the vue right next to the computer desk, as she would not let me put them in the living room! So my question is, what kind of toys do you have in your house? By the way, my wife says they are stinking up the house, even though I did drain all the gas out of them. I personally like the smell, smells like my shop! Matt

Well I finally was able to drag my Struck Mini Dozer home this weekend. Bummer was the tracks are stuck, the trans. is stuck, the engine is stuck and everything else is stuck! Maybe they should have called them Stuck instead of Struck! So I'll have to take a bunch of parts off it to get it oiled down and loosened up. I don't have time for all that right now. This machine has a lot of potential and it is way cool! Nice selection of frontend attachments too! A 48 inch Ripper Blade, a 48 inch Dump Bucket and a 54 inch Dozer Blade. Not bad for $250.00!! Pretty much stole it!

One thing that I should mention. I use acrylic urethane automotive paint. These paints contain isocyanates, which if inhaled or absorbed through the skin, are extremely dangerous to your health. Special precautions MUST be taken to protect yourself and others. My point here is that if you should decide to use an automotive paint, be sure to read and follow all directions.

Very inspiring stuff you're sharing here Richard. Pressuring? I thought I was encouraging...but whatever it takes to get the job done right. Oh, and BTW...never, never...never underestimate the power of your poker Matt. It can work miracles.

Well I'm 16, and I absolutely love these tractors, as well as cars and I pride myself in being conversant about these subjects. I love to hear about more kids like me in these regards. When I tell guys at school about Wheel Horse they just look at me funny and say "a tractor? What?" But congrats on the tractor, I'm sure your son will love it.

Much funnier!!!!!! Just be glad that she decided to let you stay instead of the bike, :ychain:

I have several railroad related signs on display and a railroad oil can. Also have a couple of old electrical meters I bought at a junk auction where I used to work. In a closet I store all my old HO model trains and accessories. I have half a bookshelf of full of 3 ring binders containing wheel horse manuals and literature. Of which I can never find the one I am looking for. :banghead:

Hey guys well I was told about this yesterday by someone on the site. Once I saw how much we had we just had to look at it. My dad purchased all of this stuff. There are about 22 tractors I belive and a bunch of nos parts! Make sure to see the pic of inside of the trailer. That is a 30 ft enclosed trailer and you could not fit one more thing in there. Not to mention there are 8 more tractors we are going to have to make another trip for!. There are 3 lawn rangers, 3 rj35's, .a ton of suburbans, and a couple round hoods, a commando 8 and a a800 ranger. We will probably be holding on to most of the suburbans and rj stuff and be selling the newer tractors There is a stack of mower decks we have to go and get too. Here are some pics. Can't wait to get home and unload it all and see everthing we got! ~Jake I have a few more pics I'll try uploading photobucket doesn't seem to like me LOL

As cast can be brittle especially in cold weather and under shock loads, this would most likely be the cause of failure. Unless there is an undetected casting defect in the casting itself. Under normal use I would say that it is dang near impossible to break. That being said I have jerk pulled stumps with a log chain connected the the clevis hitch on my C-175Auto and have hit hard enough to pull the front wheels completely off the ground and knock my glasses off my head and never had a problem with it. I have also moved very heavy trailers of wood with it with no problem. this corner is broken off, i think there should be a bolt hole here to fasten to the belt guard, mine had a larger tab bolted to the belt guard that the broken end wedged into. hole/bolt should already be in the belt guard bolt centers are roughly 1 3/4" and 5 3/8" this will be determined by the holes in the seat tool box.. 5 3/4" and 7 3/8"

slick, been hectic here, ran out to the shop this morning and grabbed a few measurements for you. i hope you can make sense of my rushed pics..... some of the camera angles are off, so i put the measurements above the pic. if you need any more clarification just ask. 8 1/2" 7 3/8" 1 3/4" ( bolt tabs stick out a little more than the screen- the screen itself is 1 5/8") 1 1/4" 1 5/8" inside, 1 3/4 overall 5/8" 1 1/2" 8 3/8" inside, 9 1/8" outside

Spraying the tank strap. Only a few prices to go. Ok, maybe the hoist is a bit of overkill. First coat on the hood, a few blemishes to sand out. Final spray on it tonight, then the wheels. The K181 on this engine does not have threads in the exhaust port, only the flange bolts. Having hell finding a muffler.

Let this be a lesson to all of us, When you see a Tractor as Oily, Greasy, as this one was, and ya see a Puff The Magic Blue Smoke Dragon like this one is WALK AWAY! If the machine is filthy then there is a big chance there has been -0- maintenance done on the Machine. No one really knows what they have unless you have prior knowledge and history of the machine. I dont blame the guy I purchased it from cause he never used it, or really ran it much. But the owner before him sent this one to an early grave by not changing the air filter! All engines are a BIG AIR PUMP in essence thats all they are, they suck in tons of air. and this is why the top of the engine is all Bucked up, and not the bottom. Yeah Im doing new Rods, main bearings, ect because I want the engine to outlast me and be trouble free, not because The bottom half is shot to H*ll like the Cylinders are. That being said..... Will the 520-H Snow Chucker be ready for this winter? Probably not, I was hoping by Jan 1st but these Increased Costs will put a clamp on X-Mas and I dont let these tractors Interfear with my home finances. Too many people do that, and thats one of the reasons why America is in the state it is today. Anyways that will give me time to get everything done but the engine, I still have much to do to get it where it needs to be. Once completed Ill have a Beast that will be familar with that will last me the rest of my life, as it will only be used in the winter. Besides Ole C-120 still blows it into the next ZIPCODE What more could a guy ask for? Cheers ~Duke
