2 pointsBlue is going down My butt may be in Mi but my heart is still in Ohio. Let me tell you that stink from AA is getting pretty rank. You do know that the only thing keeping the state of Ohio from sliding into the Ohio river is the fact the Michigan sucks!!!

1 pointAfter being without a dog for eleven years, I finally convinced the CEO that this house needed dog hairs. Back in the '80s and '90s I had my favorite female which was an Alaskan Malamute. "Sascha" came from a breeder but I soon found out that she had hip dysplasia, as many large breeds sometimes do. She was a really good dog for 14 1/2 years but got very arthritic at the end. Realizing that these days there are too many animals that are put down through no fault of their own, I decided to search for just a good rescue that needed a good home. Lo and behold, I found a malamute! Recently our area suffered through a derecho storm that disrupted everything. In fact even after going through tornadoes in the Midwest, this was the first time I ever took refuge in the basement due to all of the trees on our property. It turned out that "Oke" was found running loose after the storm somewhere in West Virginia and was picked up by the local dog warden. He was about to be put down when the Blind Dog Rescue Alliance stepped in. It turned out that "Oke" is blind in his left eye and partially sighted in the other. "Oke" is an 80 pound, nine years old malamute that just wants to please and love us constantly. He is laying at my feet as I write this. We adopted him from BDRA almost two weeks ago and it is going very well. In fact, he does pretty good with the truck, staying between the lines and not getting caught by our speed cameras, but currently he has trouble shifting the C-105 . He might do better this winter with the 518xi when plowing snow - he's already dressed for it!

1 pointA guy in a bar leans over to the guy next to him and says, "Wanna hear a Buckeye joke?" The guy replies, "Well, before you tell that joke, you should know something. I am 6' tall, 200 lbs. and I am an Ohio State Graduate. The guy sitting next to me is 6'2," 225 lbs. and he is an Ohio State Graduate. The guy right next to him is 6'5", 250 lbs. and he is also an Ohio State Graduate. Now, you still wanna tell me that joke?" The first guy says, "No, not if I'm going to have to explain it three times"

1 pointNo doubt best rivalry and the thing that makes that happen as much as I hate to admit it is the fact two great programs and both have tradition and lots of history and either could win most years (even the Buckeyes :angry-banghead: ). It's a rough start for us this season we play one of those SEC NFL farm teams in a couple weeks.... Alabama, that should be interesting, they had like 74 players or something drafted last year (not an official number but close I'm sure) I've never been a Urban Meyer fan, I have a feeling before it's said and done it wont end well for you guys with him. He can recruit but lots of questions of character with him for a long time now and usually where there's that much smoke there's a fire. I hope I'm wrong for the rivalry aspect of it. Personally I'd like to see John Cooper again..... now there's a great coach!! :ychain:

1 pointA young man hired by a supermarket reported for his first day of work. The manager greeted him with a warm handshake and a smile, gave him a broom and said, “Your first job will be to sweep the store.†But, I’m a OSU graduate,†the young man replied indignantly, “I even played football there!†“Oh, I’m sorry. I didn’t know that,†said the manager. “Here, give me the broom, I better show you howâ€.

1 pointBut doesn't everyone want their tractor sounding like a 57 Dodge... But yeah what Sousakerry2 said. They rebuild fairly easily.

1 pointThe A series were lawn tractors. The B-80 came with a shorter frame in 1974 and 1975, and had a 4 speed transmission with 1" axles. So I guess it was "lighter". But in 1976 and 1977 they had the longer frame and the 1-1/8" axles. The B-100 had the shorter frame in 1974 and 1975. In 1976 and 1977 both the B-80, B-100, C-120 and C-160 all were longer frames. The C-120 and C-160 were more powerful only because of the bigger engines, but the C-100 only had a 10HP. Now to make it more complicated, the B-60 with it's 7hp engine and non-electric start, also had the longer frame and 1-1/8" axles. So I guess the answer is not exactly true. Take a 1977 B-80 or B-100, replace the engine with a K301 or K341, add head lights and tail lights, replace the decals, and you have a C-120 or C-160.

1 pointA technical comment about Scott's (smoreau) suggestion of extracting ethanol by shaking it with water This "extraction" is controlled by a common property of chemicals call the "octanol/water partition coefficient" (I am using octanol as a close substitute for gasoline) -- Doing a quick web search and some back of the envelop math with my calculator tells me that you won't come close to getting all of the ethanol out with a single water wash -- My calculations say that if you mixed equal parts gas and water; approx. 1/3 of the ethanol would end up in the water layer The typical 'chemist' way this clean-up would be done would be several repeated extractions as Scott proposed Just reconsidered my use of octanol as a substitute for octane (gasoline) -- Ethanol is going to be more soluble (probably quite a bit more soluble) in octanol (an alcahol) than in octane (gasoline) -- So that means that Scott's clean-up method is looking better on my 'back of the envelop' calculation

1 pointFor what its worth, I love my B-80. Mine is a 74 model, and only has the 4 speed, but its a great machine. I know I would give more than $100 for one with all those attachments, even if the engine was missing completely! Here is mine. Matt :flags-texas:
