2 pointsWhat a great day for a show! Got to spend some time with a bunch of good guys there from RedSquare. There is always some good treasure pickin at this show, you never know what you'll find. I have scored something good each and every time I go to Zagray. When I was walking by this vendors spot I had to do a double take. I have never seen Wheel Horse advertising this big. I couldn't believe someone before me didn't snag these! The guy had two of them, one a little smaller and different from this one. I tipped Stevebo off about the other because I know he is building a barn/slash museum and there ain't nothing better than Wheel Horse barn art. This poster is MINT, I'm gonna have it framed. Anyone here got one this big?

2 pointsMust have been those Ohio or Indiana boys, stealing another bunch of Wheel Horses from our State, they were heading South, early morning, probably a nighttime raid, again!

2 pointsAt the moment I'm listening to Motorhead - Orgasmatron as it's playing on the radio, can I recommend Jethro Tull - Thick as a brick 2 and Alice Coopers latest cd - Welcome 2 my nightmare. Good to see so many rock/classic rock fans on here :D

1 pointAt an auction last week i saw this and just had to have it. I gathered some info on the internet and it was made in the 50's when space exploration was getting hot. You can also steer it with the handles on the front.

1 pointThough Waylon and Cash are my Country guys its real hard to pinpoint my Classic rock band but Steve Miller is no doubt right at the top. Growing up in the 70's in a family of seven kids I heard it all. My two older sisters on one end of the house cranked up Elton John and Disco. My two oldest brothers on the other end of the house cranked up Steve Miller, Boston, Led Zep, Allman Brothers, Electric Light, Super Tramp, you name it. Middle brother Dave cranked Elvis and Styx in the 80's? WTH Dave? Dad listened to Cash, Waylon, Neil Diamond and Kenny Rogers. My bed room was right in the middle of all of this and to this day I love all of it, yes, even some of the disco! One of my brothers must of listened to this tune at least ten times a day back then. I never get tired of it!

1 pointNo decals yet.....but I did ****** a grader at Jdogs Ranch. I gave it a quick cleanup and stuck it under the Charger mixed breed. That's funny...haha...the forum won't let me use the word s-n-a-t-c-h......ok I stole a grader blade then....lol

1 pointI had a Charger 10 for a year or so. Wanted to fix it up a bit and clean this and repair that...you know the drill. Had a few parts laying around so this is what I ended up with. It has a midsized frame from a 8-4 spped, kept the long hood, put some 6 inch wheels on, and a newer 12hp K series... and few other things....hope you enjoy...

1 pointQuick little update, we got it wire wheeled and scuff padded lastnight, swapped in a new set of axle seals, then hung it on the engine hoist, taped up a few things, this is nothing like a real restore, but it will be just fine for what it will be used for, I bought a gal. of the Majic paint with reducer and hardener, it sprays pretty good, but like most cheap oil base paints the over spray is a sticky nasty mess, I know I don't like painting tractors together as well as in pieces, it is much harder to get all sides of things on it, with out running the paint, no runs but a few heavy spots here and there, it does flow out good, and with it staying wet longer it is easy to blend areas that you painted with out dry spray, I shot it this morning about 9am at 78 deg, it is going to be in the 90's today so I hope it helps dry it. I wet the driveway but the paint stays wet so long the water drys and the paint still sticks to the cement, I rewet it but I think I will have a red drive again this year like most years in the past, I sent the rims out with other rims to be blasted and powder coated, it in the end is cheaper and way faster than blasting and painting them myself. I hope to have some Majic primer on the hood and fender later today to see if I like it, and should have the basic engine painted, and maybe a few other parts later today or first thing in the morning, it would be nice to have all the big stuff painted by wed. but we will see. All hung and Ryan sweeping the driveway It's Red, but look a bit orange like the Valspar IH red, but it will all be one color, so it is fine.

1 pointHi Andy, good to catch up with you at Ardingly. Yep, your right the 6X6 special does weigh a ton... Well, nearly.. Oops... Sorry Mark, your not Andy are you!! I guess my brain wasn't working too well last night Hi Brad, are you feeling better after your "Stig fix" now? Taking it easy is what I plan to do.. Have no option really. It's nice not to have a deadline anymore. Your welcome to the update, ta for calling this build "Awsome". Thanks Will, yep chains should do the trick. The next video is a little way off yet as nothing mucj=h has been happening on the build.. Not sure a 16 min vid of me sanding filler would be very entertaining Thanks Rich, it's good to be back, though I have to admit getting my brain around replys is a bit of a struggle today. Not sure which part of me is inpressive, maybe it's the way the sun glints off my bald patch The hood feels even longer now I'm doing the filler work on it! Thanks Matt, yeah my health has been better.. But that's how it goes. I can't wait to get back to normal, getting fed up with not being able to do anything.. I hate having to sit around! Hey Scott,. yep alive and well-ish here, taking it easy sounds very good to me at the mo.. It would be nice to get rid of the pain though. Thank you Sir. I'm not sure this heavy beast will need wheel weights, but tell your boy I could always fill each tire to add some extra weight. Well, no play in the shack for me today, I woke up really shaky so a day of taking it easy it is.. To tide you over until my next update have a photo of the smoker "much have accessory" of the year..

1 pointJust go to YouTube and right click and copy the address bar for the song you are listening to, then just paste it here. Iron Maiden - Die With Your Boots On:
-
1 pointEven Country? I'm not into this new Country Music where it seems everyone thinks you can toss a cowboy hat on yer head and call yerself a Country singer. Its Waylon or Cash for me. Old rock rocks, the Allman Brothers are pretty tough to beat when working on tractors in the shop. Click the link for one of the best tunes ever.

1 pointThe only and I repeat only country I will listen too is Johnny Cash and maybe a little David Allen Coe or Charlie Daniels. As Hank Williams III says in "Dic in Dixie" "pop country really sucks" But mostly it is Classic Rock, Zeppelin, Floyd.... I also listen to metal like, Iron Maiden, Pantera...

1 point...or no numbers at all, like the '68 Commando...WHCC's 2012 tractor of the year? That square hood design is really NICE. You guys should put an ad for your work in the vendors section here on :rs:

1 pointUpdate: I paid a visit to the machiine shop and spoke with him about my issue. Turns out that he has offered to regrind the crank, re-size the rod and even assemble the short block gratis. He said he feels bad about what happened and wants to make it right. I may have to wait several weeks, but it will be well worth the wait. Thanks, Tom

1 pointI got a lot done today, washed, sandblasted and primed a bunch of small parts. They are mostly engine parts, the green is zinc primer (not camo) and the white is urethane primer surfacer. Almost ready to mix up some red and get some more assembly done. A few more days and i should be able to put the engine back together. I still need to finish the other 4 wheels but it snowed all day and i didn't feel like going out back and firing up the big sandblaster to do the wheels.
