Unfortunately this one will not make it to the show this year. I was trying like mad to get'r done but work picked up and time got short. I'm building this as a two seater to cruise around the shows since the wife has been going to some of them with me. It's sporting an 8 speed tranny powered by a small Clinton.

Well my parents are coming up from TX for the MI WH show, they have wanted to for a few years, I talked to Mom the other day and she said Dad wants to come and look at all the stuff, but he don't get around very well any more and figured after 20 min. he would be done, I said well I think I know someone that has a few tractors they could ride around, she was thrilled, but wanted to be sure she could drive it, like her C-120 auto I said no problem I have a couple autos here for them to use, but they are not real pretty, she said she didn't care, well after getting off the phone me and Ryan went out back to pick a tractor, I tried selling this nice running C-121 on here and on CL for $300 and no takers, we have put about 3 hours time on this using it around the yard to haul stuff and what not, well I figured I can't have them riding a ugly tractor, with me being the host, so it is getting a quick make over, not a restore but just a quick repaint new decals, and tidy up the wiring, new fuel lines, nicer seat, you know the basic stuff to make it a nicer user tractor, me and Ryan tore into it peeling the decals off, then last night we took all the sheet metal off, and pulled the wiring and a few other things, today we loaded it up and took it to the car wash for a bath, it cleaned up nice, taking this tractor apart we found it is in very nice shape, with little wear and tear on it, looks to have been well cared for except the paint, we took more apart then I planned but that is the way it always goes, I think I might try the new Magic paint line at TSC on this just to see if I like it, I took 10 rims to the powder coater today 4 fronts and 6 rears (2 for the raffle tires) then 4 are going on this C-121 then I 'll have a set of 4 ready to put on something else later, and for the price you can't beat it, he is blasting all 10 rims and powder coating them for $130 and this is not a guy in a back yard, this place has a blaster that the hose looks like it goes on a fire truck, the the bake booth you can fit a semi trailer in it, I can't blast them and buy paint for that price. anyway here is our mini project, I hope to have done in a week or so. in the begining sans decals, I hate removing them. after a bath and a little more tear down, shot some rattle can primer on the sides of the dash tower. engine about ready for a coat of red.

Well maybe not for $300, but for the right price it could go home to TX with my parents in the back of their dodge truck B)

The only and I repeat only country I will listen too is Johnny Cash and maybe a little David Allen Coe or Charlie Daniels. As Hank Williams III says in "Dic in Dixie" "pop country really sucks" But mostly it is Classic Rock, Zeppelin, Floyd.... I also listen to metal like, Iron Maiden, Pantera...

Got to the Toro solutions center (just google it), and select the "look up parts" button. Put the model number in, which is 1-0423. Be sure to include the dash. The serial number ranges will appear beside each year model, which is the 855532 number. You can download manuals, or look parts up from there.

The S/G was supplied with the engine from Kohler. One I have in front of me is model 1101973, this was used on the K181 but there are a bunch of Delco models that will work on your engine. I am not the person selling this yadda-yadda, but if you type, "1965 John Deere 110 Tractor Starter/Generator Brackets," in to E-Bay, you'll see the exact set of 3 brackets you'll need to mount a common Delco S/G to the K181 for the Commando 8. -Mark-

Welcome to Red Square! Where are you in NJ? No prob. The most important part is lining up with the pto. These are all the photos I have at the moment. Its sitting in NY state so it'll be a bit before I'm back there. Once I had the mule drive on I propped some wood under it to get it level. And then set the mid hitch attachment in place. I had to cut one side of the 1/4" round bar shorter to accomodate the shipper. Good luck Kevin

I first saw the stones as a child from our car (automobile) as we passed by on our way to Devon for a holiday. They are a truly magical sight and I still love to see them each time I pass by on the A303. I would hate to be deprived of this simple pleasure and when you come to think about it way more people appreciate Stonehenge from their car each day than stop to visit in a week, possibly a month. Don't get me wrong, I have visited the site itself on many occasions but my postion is that I also expect to be able to see the stones as I pass by. The stones are actually owned by the government (i.e effectively the people) and therefore only managed on our behalf by English Heritage. I therefore say no to re-routing the A303 which would also represent a huge waste of (our) public money! Andy

I did that on my 414-8 I used a 1/2" x 2" x (length that fit inside wheel) bar of steel, and welded a 1" barbell bar to it. The steel bar is bolted to 2 holes in the wheels. It's a lot easier removing weights with this setup, than oem ones. Just slide the weights on. The picture shows a 50# plate. Behind it are, smaller plates that fit inside the wheel. Total weight on each wheel is 85#'s I am also making a bar mount for the front of the tractor to hold weights, when needed. I have to mow the sides of ditches in front of my property, and the 170#'s of weight helps keeping the shiny side up!
