thanks for all the kind words. it was really just thrown together. i did take a few measurements and the CAD deffinately helped piece it all together. There are quite a few things i would do differently if i did it again, and since i only have some $20 worth of steel into it, i may build a cleaner version at some point, maybe once i impliment a dedicated lift cylinder, guess we'll see Unfortunately i probably wont get around to testing it till next week as i am out this weekend and can only machine the holes for the spherical bearings after work so the lower links may take a little longer as i dont have the tools in my own shop to build those. I'm excited to get it work though. Currently my plan is to slide a T bar into the lift hitch and use that as my lifting setup. Not sure if that will strain the lift cable too much or not. My next thought was to do a solid link from the mid lift, i think there is enough room to snake one through, similar to the GT14 setup. I would like to just add a rear cylinder but this tractor is an odd ball in that its a manual with a pump for a lift but from what i have gathered there are no high pressure outs on the pump before the control valve that is built in. That being said i either need to: 1) remove the mid mount and run lines to the back to a cylinder (wouldn't be the worse thing as i dont mow with this machine, however i use it to plow snow) 2) add a double selector valve that allows me to select witch cylinder to control with the built in lift (this only allows control of one cylinder at a time, which isn't a huge deal) 3) i could add another pump, tank, and valve which i have these parts (no tank) but the motor direction is wrong on a wheel horse so that adds some more little issues. All this brings me full circle back to the uniqueness of this machine and like all my mods i want something that doesn't affect the orignial machine and could always be removed. Guess I'll have to do some more thinking on it.... :eusa-think:

I'd save that crate . There's going to be all kinds of travel stickers on it! The stories that squirrel will tell! S.O.I. didn't stow away in that did he? If he did no worries! He'll rig up some time travel machine using the tractor electrical parts and get it to you yesterday! Smartest squirrel out there! :norway:

Being a handyman/home improvement contractor, I run into this sort of thing every day. Welcome to my world. ...and Home Depot is about the worst when it comes to getting any sort of help with plumbing issues.

Been doing the Model Railroad thing for over 40yrs. Build, scratch build, customize. paint etc. I have earned the rank of Master model railroad builder. If I had the money I have spent on Model Railroads through the years to put on my Wheel Horse. I could probably reopen the Wheel Horse factory and start producing again.

You need a haircut young man .... and probably a new battery to replace what appears to be a shorted one in your tractor. Measure the battery voltage - if its less than 10 volts - its technically dead.

I thought I would advertise the z master on craigslist but I didn't really want it to go so I priced it higher than what the shop wanted and a day later it was gone I was a little disappointed until I went to the shop to drop off the cash they set me up with this proline 120 and gave me a pocket full of cash . Proline mows great and is an upgrade from the groundsmaster 52 that I was using before the z master I can't spin around like a zero turn but it still gets around the trees with ease and I can get a cab and snowblower attachement for it.

That would be a great start wouldn't it? Do you think the hood and fender pan are fiberglass ? Are the C series fiberglass? A lot of the black hood tractors had plastic fenders. You could order them with the metal pans. Usually of the C-175 and C-195 you find always had the plastic unless someone already changed them out for metal. Hard to find one not broke. I would bet the jeep was plastic too since it was the same time frame.

I had the same issue. I resolved it by adding a couple of washers which pulled the lift bar over and away from the center spindle.
