Simple... to keep the peace. Our Wheel Horse collecting world is fairly small, and nothing starts a fight faster than bickering about prices and who stole what from whom at the last minute or who missed out on a great deal because somebody else thought an item was selling too cheap so they broadcast it for everyone's attention. Or another case... someone starts picking on someone's ebay description or item... only to find out they're making fun of another member, who chose to not post his ebay item on the forum. So to keep the peace, we avoid it. (and ebay links are allowed if it's your item and you want to advertise it.) If Rick wants his ebay links here... he will post them.

It all depends on what you want your tractor to do. Ultimately what will happen (If you have a big yard) will be that you buy a zero turn to mow with, keep a 520 for a back up mower, get a C195 for a back up back up, pick up as many wheel horses that you can find and can afford, including round hoods, rare models, examples of each type, until you have all of your neighbors staring at you and wondering if you need to be locked up because of some rare OCD affliction. Fight it all you want, but this is the evolution of the wheel horse collector.

Dont have time for a full write up yet. Pulled the hydro motor and started taking everything apart. Found a few possibly clogged passages and some "junk" floating around in the system. I was able to pull the cylinder and check the valve plate. Worked it down with 150grit, 220, 400,600. Off to get some finer grits. Pics are "as found", "after 150", "after 400", and "after 600" Crazy stuff happening with pics

Well I can't seem to find a lighted wheel horse sign for the shop but I did find this one at a former Toro dealer that I stopped at to check for "horses" he said he was no longer a Toro dealer so the sign had to go. All the lights work and both sides are in excellent condition.

That Bad Huh? I wouldn't think it should steer that hard. Is something binding, or maybe rusty? Matt :flags-texas:

I just had a 67 Ranger seat cover made by a friend at work. She normally does boat upholstery. She did a very nice job of matching the white center panel with the black vinyl. I'm wrapping up the restoration of the rusted to h.. seat pan and when I get it done and the cover installed I'll post pictures. I've been toying with the idea of having her make a bunch of these to replace the original two piece seat in all black and some in the two color combination. Do you guys think there is a market for them?

I had a 520H, and a 416H. I sold them however I regretted selling the 416H. Now I have this 418A, she needs a good cleaning and some wax and polish. But I have been holding off because she needed some more TLC.

Check the vent hole in the gas cap. Ive seen them get pluged it will run till it cant suck anymore gas out of the tank. Easy test is when it dies take the cap off and try to start it.

Nice score! I got real lucky when my 10 yr old son spotted this sign while cruisin his RJ at one of our local shows a month ago. It adds some nice ambiance to my little horse shop.

hi the guy with the flooded 1054 emailed and changed his mind. some one told him the wheel horse is worth way more than his asking price of 250.00 so he changed his mind. he was told the belts on the tractor was worth more than 300.00 alone. o well he said he was going to get it runing himself. i was told once that every women on earth was in love with me. but that was not true either!!!

Took the weekend off to do some camping at the lake. We harvested what we could and watered last wednesday. We found out today that no one checked the garden while we were gone so we took some time to harvest and check for critters...lots of frogs and no bugs. We did have plenty to pick though. Our snap peas were plump but turned a dull green. I think they were on the vine too long but we will see how they taste tomorrow. Lots of green beans and there are tons of bell peppers and tomatoes that should be ready in a few days. Here was this afternoons harvest...

Well it seems like you all had a memorable day with all the tractor issues. I brought my wife and walked around she got hot , and I ended up buying a Panzer so I could drive her around. Now she says its a show tractor and wants to go to all of them with me. She won't drive it but likes the way it looks. Had a good day, I guess any day spent around tracors is a good day, hope you all have a good day. Gene

Good question. As far as grass cutting duties go the 520 is the end of the line for me, anything else would be a step down. I've wanted one for yrs. now and I finally have one and I love it. Sure, I'll have to deal with Onan issues and what not sooner or later but pimpin ain't easy. :ychain:
