1 pointWent and pulled the grill out of storage Today. Since I finished building it a few years ago this has been the start of summer for my family and my neighorhood. We have block parties atleast once a month with it and I drag it out to the ballpark for weekend tournyments to cook for the masses. It's a great time for me and it's a good way to help- raise funds for the ballpark that my kids play ball at Of all the things I have built over the years there is nothing that I am prouder of than my grill and anytime I get a chance to cook on it I am all over it! Here are some pics of my baby. The custom Name tag (Made in my shops CNC dept.) Clean and dirty water tanks

Can be a right pain at times but would find it hard to live without now. hope you get the new one soon and keep up the good work with the forum. Only been a member since january and its a great place to spend time checking out everyones horses and picking up hints and tips and hopefully helping others. Cheers. Ian :UK:

1 pointJust thought I would throw in a couple more pics of the progress. I finished the modifications to the wheels, and they fit great! I also mocked up the drive system, and it is working perfectly, the clutch works well, and all the gears in the trans appear to work as they should. I had my son in the shop with me yesterday, helping, but mostly supervising. He's a real slave driver! Time is getting tight on me, I only have about 5 weeks till his birthday, and I haven't even started on the body. I gotta get cracken! Matt I also included a pic of the slave driver himself, with a goofy look on his face. :ychain:

1 pointI will try to post some more pics in the next week. I sand blasted the frame and other parts. I used paint stripper on the rear end. It took a while but i did get all the old paint off. I did have time to get the frame, rear end, tie rods, tires and motor back together. It's slow going.

1 pointA previous owner had cut the side off of a deck that came with one of mine, but they had welded a frame around the hole, I bent some metal around the frame and welded it up, and it cuts real nice. I was amazed. The deck shell, bearings, and spindles were all in good shape, though. Doesn't help you much with how to get them pullies off, does it?

1 pointHere is a couple of ideas to think about. I think you have a Kohler Command engine in this tractor. I had similar problems with a twin Command and here's what I did to get it running. Firstly, it would run on a splash of gas into the carb, but not much after that - EVEN after cleaning the carb. Turned out this engine - and perhaps yours too, had a fuel shut solenoid needle was stuck. When I cleaned the carb, I ignored the needle/plunger on the shut-off valve and fuel was not able to get into the carb or at min, very little. The second problem was the fuel pump. My original pump would pump fuel and I thought that was enough. Exhausted of possiblities, I replaced the vacuum (via fuel lines) lines and fuel lines to the pump - no success. I replaced the fuel pump and the engine started on first crank and ran like a champ. The old pump was working, but not enough fuel was going to the carb. The new pump made a world of difference. If your engine fires, you got good ignition and spark. You've cleaned the carb, the only things left that jump out at me are the above things. Aside from that, you might need a carb rebuild. BTW, I bought an Oregon fuel pump for about $20. It is a plastic fuel pump, round body and I think is the same one that Stens sells. Hang in there with this tractor. You got a good one and your starting out on a journey, not a sprint. Good luck, Bill

1 pointI have been mowing my lawn for the last 2 years with a lawn ranger that has a 32†deck. After last year I decided it was time for something a little bigger . But after seeing what 48†decks are going for I decided to custom build something and this is what I ended up with. The deck is a new 54†shell that is used on a Craftsman GT6000. I saw it at Glen’s Surplus and thought it would work on a Wheel Horse if I put a swept front end on it. I’m also lazy so I put a Warner electric clutch on it. As long as I don’t mow a hay field or wet grass the 10 hp Magnum works just fine.

1 pointHere is mine prior to tear down, wrong decal and all. Currently it is in pieces waiting for access to a sandblaster. Don't know if it will be ready for the show or not. Too many things going on, and the horses are taking a back seat.
