Jdog and I are heading out to hunt up some Wheel Horsey's. Maybe we will have some cool pics when we get back. No snow to push so I had to use the 180 a little to keep me happy.....There is a heck of a lot of brush to burn this spring!!

Hello All, I was mulling around and tripped over this emblem..... maybe I missed it in the past or it already has been turned into a decal. If it isn't a sticker/decal it needs to be made and sold.... I will buy several and they will be on all my cars...... So whats the story???? Call me cheap, or....well....just call me cheap! I wire brush the underside of all three of my decks in the spring then liberally brush on new bar and chain oil. I let it sit for a few days before the first mowing, then wash the underside of the deck with a garden hose after each mowing (with the deck on the tractor and the blades spinning to create more turbulence). I've found I only need to repeat this "treatment" a couple times during the season and then before I put them up for the fall. Cheap, effective and really not that time consuming! Duff

Mostly for stability & flotation. Set up with the right tire size & tread pattern duals will give you plenty of traction too. I think most just like the look. Here's a pic of my 1055 with a factory dual wheel kit & dual Firestone 23* ags.

Don't get me wrong... I understand that tractors need to be parted... I just hate to see a complete unmolested all original rig such as my C100 get parted and that doesn't get a chance to be restored. The C100 I sold that will be parted was one of the tractors that should of been saved and restored with parts from tractors that are beyond help..... thats what I meant.

I have mixed feelings. I hate to see them parted out, but wouldn't have half of the tractors I have without someone doing it. Better to part them out than to scrap them or destroy them. As has been eluded to above- it's more like donating organs than anything else. Doc, you should sleep with a clear conscience. Your tractor will help others to enjoy the ones they have for even a while longer.

Im sorry you lost your Dad Wheelin...Its tough...my Dad was also a vet of 20+yrs with 2 tours in nam...he had the full military burial..it was amazing. I have many fond memories of the farm and stuff...we tinkered with many things...he'll be deeply missed. I hope you continie to heal. Thank you for your comments. I will be getting another Wheel Horse soon...till then I think I'll start getting this one restored and like new again. I dont want to let it deteriorate. I also did 4 yrs in the army...Airborne Rangers...but no combat...we have a great country...worth preserving. Take care.

I agree with a decal that pays respect to the homelands of all our members. I will try to find time to work on that as well as find that flag graphic for this design.

I have a couple of the Horrible Fright chargers. I believe I got them for $2.99 each. For the price I can't complain. They do work as advertised. However if your battery is a little weak the HF maintainers do not have enough juice to keep the battery useable. It will keep any good battery good though. I used one on my 2nd car in Montana and it would fire up no problem at 30 or more below zero...without the maintainer there was no chance of me starting it up every couple weeks without getting jumper cables out. My take is spend the few bucks and at least get a HF maintainer at minimum. Even at normal price they are worth it.

I hope it's something easy for you. You're almost there, keep up the good work. :handgestures-thumbup:
