made a little more progress in some things. got all the carb/governor linkage painted and on, coil and choke bracket done, actually most of that end of the engine is now done other than the points wire and coil, and fuel line from tank to pump. also got the drive belt/idler done, cleaned up the old belt as its relatively new. not sure about new throttle and choke cables, heard some problems with the throttle knob twisting off after limited use, need some input here on what to get, i dont have any good used ones so i need to buy new, are the toro ones any better than the stens ebay ones? thats my biggest holdup now with the dash. got a new ignition switch and gen light. these things cost a little more than i really would like to pay but they are new and ready to go. the ignition switch is the heavy duty one that came on these tractors (used without a solenoid) and both of them are cole hersee products, which they originally came with. ended up using the cig lighter insert from my 875 as it looked correct and was in really nice condition, just needed a good cleanup and polish.. cleaned up the outer from this tractor and painted the shield/ nut red.

well heres the rustiest one ive had so far, my 1054. while i really liked the way the rebuild turned out, i was really hesitant to pull it apart, and sometimes i wish it was still that rusty patina. theres just something about that 'old' look.......... here it is in its new skin....

I've had a few, and still have a bunch of rusty ones, here is some I have redid in the past few years. Not real rusty but beat bad and drilled full of holes broken rod in engine, here it had a brush paint job over the rust, I paid $25 for it. And how it looks now Another we fixed up this one is very rusty, we changed the frame it was almost rusted in half, motor seized tight, another $25 buy and how it looks today this is a rattle can job, but everything was redone mechanically on it. and now The last was this one, it was a parts tractor, but my daughter liked it so we redid it. and now

Okay Mike, here's mine. Started out with this...the remains of a B-80 and a C-160... Ended up with this. A cobbled together B-100 8-Speed. Now I know it's not a rusty pile of junk anymore, but it started that way. But my daily worker is this...
