FYI I just called MacKissic in PA. to check on the belt size for the 9-WH shredder/grinder that mounts on the front of a Wheel Horse tractor.
According to MacKissic's folks that looked up the belt sizes for me in their archives there are three possible belt sizes for the Might Mac Shredder.
The original number listed in the 9-WH manual (which is posted on Wheel Horse.org website) is 506-0003 (MacKissic's number) that is a 4L-780 (78 inches) size belt.
On the Wheel Horse.org manual that number is crossed out and replaced with a 030-0073 which would be a 4L-810 (81 inches) belt according to MacKissic.
The manual that MacKissic sent me in the mail for a 9-WH Shredder is dated 1977 and lists a 030-0126 belt number on their parts list and this would be a 4L-840 belt (or 84 inchs).
My guess is that different idler pulleys, different sized Wheel Horse PTO's may account for some of the differences in belt sizes but I wanted to post this to let folks know what I found out after calling on this.
MacKissic Number Belt # / Regular Belt Size
506-0003 / 4L-780
030-0073 / 4L-810
030-0126 / 4L-840
These are all 1/2 wide 5/16th deep.
