    In search of bottom plate for 854 two pieces tank mine is cracked will take whole tank if one is available i have a replacement gasket already thanks

    I can't see the crack in the picture so it must not be to big. If you reinstall it with the new gasket and them coat the inside bottom with this sealer making sure it gets all over the bottom and all the edges you should be fine. I've used this stuff multiple times and never has a failure. 

     

    The rules:

    Get a sacrificial nylon fitting for the gas line hole.

    Make sure the tank is spotlessly clean. Clean it until you think it is then clean it again. Let it sit until it's bone dry. 

    After coating let it dry for several days. 

     

    It doesn't take much sealer. If you feel like driving to the Knox area (Starke County) I'll give you enough to get the job done. :)
