pfrederi 17,893 #1 Posted July 5, 2017 Thanks to 953nut I am the proud owner of a very nice York Rake. The were made in Unadilla Ny not far from me. I called them this morning to find out if they had and operators manual and see what parts might be available. The still make the same model rake. Had nice chat with them and the man was quite surprised at the serial number #548. He has worked there 40 years and this rake predates his employment. He knew that 34 years ago the serial numbers were in the 5000 range. The have a scarificer attachment that I may go up there and get soon. Have to wonder if the current cheap landscape rakes at Tractor Supply etc will be around that long. Got it mounted on the D200 and it works as good as new. Time to dress up the driveway...

Busman 14 #3 Posted July 5, 2017 Nice tractor. I used to drive through unadilla all the time going back and forth to school in morrisville. Are they still doing the races there?
oldredrider 2,549 #4 Posted July 5, 2017 (edited) Gave some serious thought to getting that rake when 953 nut posted it for sale. I have absolutely no use for it but thought it would be cool to have! Glad you got it and have a purpose for it. Edited July 5, 2017 by oldredrider
Ed Kennell 38,704 #5 Posted July 5, 2017 And all these years, I thought the YORK rakes were made here in York, Pa.
953 nut 55,860 #6 Posted July 5, 2017 Paul, glad to see it being worked. Having two landscape rakes was one too many so I wanted it to go to a good home where it would be used.
