Steve A W 30 #1 Posted April 6, 2016 (edited) New poster here. This weekend I became a Wheel Horse owner ! I was working in my Dad's garage and his neighbor came over and said he had a tractor I might be interested in. So I went with him back to his house, and he pulled a tarp off of a nice looking 856. He said there was a snowblower with it also. When I asked how much he said "I want you to have it, $200". He doesn't have any family left and I guess he's mad at the other neighbors that would be interested in it. I'll be back with questions, especially when it comes time to put the snowblower on. It runs real good, my daughters must of put twenty miles on it in the backyard already. I'll try a picture. CasualObserver 3,409 #8 Posted April 6, 2016 Looks to be in really nice shape. Keep in mind there's a fair amount of you Hoosiers here... don't spout off too much about the neighbor! You just never know who's poking about in here.
rmaynard 15,744 #9 Posted April 6, 2016 Very nice little pony. Appears to to well cared for. I bought an 856 from a scrapper back in 2010. It had a stripped spark plug hole and the woodruff key was missing from the transmission input shaft. It came with a 42" snow plow. After fixing those two minor problems, it ran like a race horse and became my favorite toy...then I sold it. I regret to this day that I did that. Glad to have you aboard. Well worth the purchase price and then some. The blower is worth what you paid. Where you located in NW Indiana?

953 nut 56,320 #18 Posted April 6, 2016 Your 856 has one of the best original seat covers I have ever seen, the man who sold gave it to you took exceptional care of it. Below is a manual you can download.
