stevasaurus 22,813 #1 Posted September 20, 2015 (edited) We had this excellent pine tree in the back yard, but it was just growing to big for the space, so we had to have it cut down.So now we have room for a garden again. I put the word out, "looking for a plow", and my buddy, Denny Clark calls me and says he has one and he will bring it to the Lasueur show. Fantastic. Thanks Denny.Time for a restoration. Took it all apart and wire wheeled the heck out of it.Time for paint...primed first...used Rust-o-leum red primer and Regal Red.Put it back together and ordered some stickers from Terry Dennis. Got the decals in a couple of days.I did get to practice "Watching Paint Dry", but the video will be when I get to use it. I was looking at all the pictures of plows on this site, and I did not see one that was exactly like this...and then Koen finds a video on U-Tube that is just like this in action. I think it really is a plow that Wheel Horse, maybe ordered and put their name on it. Edited September 20, 2015 by stevasaurus

squonk 41,247 #5 Posted September 20, 2015 That is a classic plow Steve and it will make for nice yard art when not in use. Also it's nice to see you found a good use for that ladder!

stevasaurus 22,813 #13 Posted September 21, 2015 They ground out the roots that they could see half out of the ground, but you know it will be tuff going a little deeper. I knew my rotor-tiller would not stand a chance just yet. We will see.

Brrly1 1,146 #15 Posted September 23, 2015 (edited) Back yard looks nice!! So does the plow, is there sun in that area all day? Gardens need quite a bit of sun basically like everything that grows Edited September 23, 2015 by Brrly1
953 nut 55,612 #16 Posted September 23, 2015 As the stump and roots decay there will be a little settling. May as well get ahead of the curve and build it up with compost now. Your garden will thank you.
