rydogg 186 #1 Posted October 3, 2012 I have picked up some wheel horse wheel weights recently and the rear ones are different as in one has no valve stem cut out and 4 mounting holes and the other has a cutout and only 2 mounting holes...What years were these made and what is the correct color? Is one set of rear weights more rare or desirable? I also picked up some other weights can anyone identify either set, the yellow ones are 9 inches across and have the word Badger cast into them they also have numbers one has 2093 and the other has 300805. The other set of weights have no identifying stamps they are 7.5 inches across the inside are that goes inside the wheel.
pfrederi 17,788 #3 Posted February 27, 2016 If they fit paint them red and call them WH weights. Tractor will not know the difference.
squonk 41,226 #4 Posted February 27, 2016 One co. made those weights for WH, IH, and I'm sure others. I got a set from a Cub owner and they are the same weight as WH. Paint them white or red it doesn't matter
Howie 892 #5 Posted February 28, 2016 My rear weights came from a foundry about 35 miles from me. They poured a lot of the cast iron pieces for Wheel Horse. Friend of the family was a foreman there. That's where the weights came from, rejects small robots from sand or something foreign in the molds. I have two sets here mine and father-in-laws. On another note I have an submachine front axle and two fan gears laying here.
