79horse 0 #1 Posted August 22, 2012 I just checked on a fuel pump for a C-141 Wheel Horse- 14hp Kohler K-321 and I got a price of $132.85. Is there another alternative because that seems expensive?
SousaKerry 502 #2 Posted August 22, 2012 You can always go electric as I did Mr. Gasket makes a nice low pressure model 2-4psi available in most better automotive stores for $40 or less. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000BWCERY/?tag=hyprod-20&hvadid=15469435059&hvpos=1o4&hvexid=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=18106121571727600971&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&ref=asc_df_B000BWCERY
Champscotty58 1 #3 Posted August 22, 2012 If you can get by with rebuilding your old one check this out http://www.maritimedragracing.com/HTMLobj-18577/NEW_FUEL_PUMP_REBUILDING_KITS_FOR_KOHLER_ENGINES.pdf If not, try eBay. I recently saw the new style plastic pump on there for around $80. They seem to be the only "new" option for fuel pumps readily available. Personally I'd stick with a factory one if rebuildible. Coadster32 793 #5 Posted August 22, 2012 I just bypassed the pump on my 753. Haven't had a problem yet.
79horse 0 #6 Posted August 22, 2012 Thanks, I will take a look at the places you suggested. I just thought that was pretty steep on price and I like the rebuilding option so it stays cast and not the new plastic, Thanks again
Marv 949 #7 Posted August 25, 2012 I replaced the pump on my C145 with an electric pump. Works great.
