Hammerhead 817 #1 Posted November 24, 2009 Here is a pic of my big old 953. These were luxury tractors back in the day. Electric start Kohler, head lights and a tail light, hydraulic lift, both mid and rear and plenty of ground clearance with the big rear tires. My Dad bought one of these around 1973 or so. I mowed with it for many years, also had a rear plow, cultivator, 48 inch mower deck and a dump cart. We got sick of it breaking down alot so we went to the local WH dealer and traded it in on a used D200 with a 60 inch rear finish mower that was huge! I was happy to mow the lawn with that beast! So that is what got me interested in collecting these fine garden tractors. I have a 48 inch mower deck for this 953 and a snow blade too. ....KJ

Hammerhead 817 #3 Posted November 24, 2009 Hey Rick, Yeh some one messed around with the hood abit. I have the correct Mayhew decals for it, never got around to fixing it yet. I will repaint the hood only and install the new decals. I have the PTO pulley and a ton of parts for it. I forgot I have a rear cultivator for this also. Thanks...Keith
